JDWI, Inc.

JDWI (www.jdwi.org) is a private, not-for-profit organization that has been providing services to adults with disabilities since 1961. JDWI operates under the philosophy that everyone can contribute to his or her community, that each individual deserves equal opportunities to grow, and that society has a responsibility to assist in that development and growth.

JDWI strongly advocates for individuals to make their own decisions and to take control of their environment to the best of their ability. JDWI offers individuals work exposure, educational opportunities, basic life skill training, fitness and wellness programs, exposure within the community, opportunities for creativity and expression, and socialization opportunities. Originally serving individuals with developmental disabilities, JDWI has broadened its admission criteria to include individuals with physical disabilities, traumatic brain injury, behavior disorders, mental health issues, learning disabilities, or any other type of disability that interferes with an individual's ability to obtain and maintain competitive employment.
